the Redbacks enjoyed some success over what was a pretty soggy weekend.

On Saturday 20 July the State League tam and Resies headed up to Mont Albert Park to play Surrey Park.

RESERVES:
The Resies went down 8-6 to the combined Surrey Park Mebourne Uni outfit in a tight game. Kel Isherwood and Owen Griffiths both picked up a couple of goals and Japanese player Haruto Fujiwara scored one as did freshly minted lacrosse player Andrew ’Bucks" Buckland who socred his first ever goal in the sport.

STATE LEAGUE:
Nick Ryugo’s team played its best lacrosse of teh season as it dominated its game against Surrey Park winning 13-5. Blake Morrow had another stellar game scoring 4 goals and fellow American Ben Kniskern picked up 3 alongside Richard Grant who was returning from injury. Kale Murfett scored a couple and Vinny Cogliandro picked up a point in the win.

CHAMPIONSHIP WOMEN’S
On Sunday at Caulfield Park the Chadfield Girls played against MCC in a close game that ended in defeat 6-8. Gabriel Bligh scored 3 and Sally Daniel picked up a goal alongside Hannah Merritt in the hard fought defeat.

NEXT WEEKS GAMES:
The Men travel to the Albert to take on MCC this Saturday and the women play at home against Melbourne Uni this Sunday.
